The President of the United States has proclaimed this week, May 16-20, National Small Business week, to recognize the contributions of small businesses to the economic well-being of America. This has been done every year since 1963, and this year an estimated 27.2 million small businesses in America will be recognized for their impact. Read more of the events scheduled for the week at National Small Business Week. The highlight of the celebration will be the announcement of the National Small Business Person of the Year. According to the U.S. Small Business Administration, more than half of Americans either own or work for a small business. They also create 60-80 percent of new jobs in the country.
Small businesses, such as ReplyManager, have a wealth of opportunity and advantages over some of their larger counterparts.
They can find their specialized niche, their customers, their supplies, and their labor more efficiently than large companies can, and they can control their costs and take advantage of cost-saving opportunities.
They have the ability to be creative and responsive to customers, to changes in a market, and to changes in the way that people talk about the products and services that they provide.
Small business companies tend to be more intimate and knowledgable with their customers and clients. The team here at ReplyManager applauds all of the small businesses and their individual contributions to the economy!
