Daylight Saving Time - Questions for Thought

LA Times states that the Monday after Daylight Saving Time (DST) is one of the most dangerous days of the year in terms of health and traffic safety. This got us thinking - aside from disrupting the inner clocks of humans, what effect might DST have on Ecommerce?
Did you notice a slight decrease in productivity this week? Certain things may come as a concern to online sellers when evaluating the effects Daylight Saving Time (DST) has on business.

Questions for Thought

Will workers' productivity suffer due to a lack of sleep or difficulty adjusting to the time change?

Will DST affect time-keeping and record-keeping?

Does the time change make it difficult to coordinate schedules and meetings with those in other time zones or countries? (An article on WhatIs.com highlights how DST varies between countries)

Will DST make it difficult to ensure automatic updates to software programs and electronics?

Does more daylight mean that less people are spending time indoors shopping on their computers?

When the clocks are set back, not only do we gain an extra hour of sleep, but do we also gain an extra hour of shopping?
