Get Ready for Shipping Rate Hikes US Sellers!


Etail sellers in the US get ready. USPS has recently announced that effective on January 17, 2016, shipping service rates will see increases in several areas. Make sure to review rate increases to ensure your business will remain profitable as these increases may very well affect a seller’s ability to offer free shipping.



  • Priority Mail Express - Commercial Plus: 48.2%
  • Priority Mail - Commercial Plus: 13.3%
  • Parcel Select - Lightweight: 23.5%
  • First-Class Package Service: 12.8%
  • Standard Post (Retail Ground): 10%


USPS isn’t the only shipper raising rates. As of December 28th this year, UPS is raising rates by an average of 4.9% for Ground services, and 5.2% for Air. FedEx’s rate hikes will be effective as of January 4, 2016; average of 4.9%, increase across the board.
