4 Steps to a Flawless Content Marketing Strategy

Content marketing has proven successful time and time again for businesses. In fact, recent studies show that B2B companies that blog generate 67% more leads per month that those who don't. Similarly, 67% of consumers claim to feel better about (and are more likely to purchase from) companies that deliver custom content.

In a recent article, eCommerce Insiders has shared some valuable insight to the concept of content marketing. In only four steps, learn how to plan, develop and execute an effective content marketing strategy for your online business.

Step 1: Research and Planning
The first stage of your content marketing strategy is research and planning. During this stage, take time to research your audience (what interests them; questions and pain points; etc.). You'll be able to use this information to develop a solid strategy to move your target audience through the sales funnel.

Step 2: Content and Graphics
Once you have a handle on who your target audience is, take time to plan your editorial calendar – allowing plenty of time for research, writing and publishing. Also determine which format you want to use to get your information out there (blog, social media, video, audio, etc.).

Step 3: Syndicate and Promote
Chances are, you’ve spent quite some time developing your articles, blog posts, videos, etc. so it’s important to get the most out of each piece. By syndicating your content across various media, you can help ensure your content is viewed by the greatest amount of people.

Step 4: Consistency and Quality
It’s one thing to produce a few blogs or videos here and there. Without consistent publishing and nurturing, success is not guaranteed. Creating high-quality content that really resonates with your audience will prove successful down the road.

Take a look at the article “The 4-Step Framework for eCommerce Content Marketing (that actually works)“ for details and valuable tips during each stage.
