eBay sellers receive many system messages on a daily basis. Most times, the seller does not have to do anything with these system messages. There are a few instances, however, that eBay will require the seller to respond.
For example, in situations where a customer opens a case with a seller and is not satisfied with the seller’s answer, prompting them to escalate the case with eBay. eBay would then send the seller a system message asking for more proof, such as when the customer claims to not have received an item. In such a situation, eBay would ask the seller to provide copies of proof of postage, as well as proof of delivery containing the delivery address.
ReplyManager has updated the capability to respond to system messages. Should sellers need to answer, there is now a “Reply on eBay” link available. This will open an eBay window for the seller to enter log-in credentials. The seller can then answer the system message.
